Price feeds

The observation file src/data/prices/observations.json is an empty list. Every adapter below is disabled. Calling one throws an error and does not open a network connection. Filling in .env does not turn an adapter on. A future worker would have to replace the throw after the approvals in each card are actually in hand.

When a row is stored, the model page may say “lowest we observed since” the date of the earliest row in the file. It will not describe that row as the lowest price that has ever existed.

Walmart Affiliate API

Disabled

No Walmart affiliate approval and no API credentials are configured. Endpoint paths, rate limits, and whether offer data may be stored must be confirmed from Walmart’s current terms before a client is written.

Approvals still required

  • Walmart affiliate program approval through the network Walmart uses at the time of application
  • API credentials issued to this project
  • Written permission to store and display offer prices

Cache. Not implemented. Confirm the program’s cache and rate limits before the first request.

Retention. Not implemented. Do not write Walmart prices into history until the retention rule is verified.

Best Buy Products API

Disabled

No Best Buy developer API key is configured. A catalog API key is not an affiliate ID. Affiliate tracking, if added later, is a separate approval.

Approvals still required

  • Best Buy Products API key from the Best Buy developer program
  • Separate affiliate-program approval if links will carry a tracking ID
  • A check of whether returned prices may be stored as history

Cache. Not implemented. Confirm Best Buy’s current rate limits before the first request.

Retention. Not implemented. Catalog responses are not written to disk by this stub.

Goal Zero / Partnerize

Disabled

No Partnerize publisher account and no Goal Zero datafeed are configured. Confirm that Goal Zero’s current affiliate program is still administered on Partnerize before applying.

Approvals still required

  • Goal Zero affiliate approval
  • Partnerize (or the network Goal Zero actually uses) publisher ID
  • Access to a product datafeed or API, plus the feed’s storage terms

Cache. Not implemented. Follow the feed’s published refresh interval. Do not poll faster than the program allows.

Retention. Not implemented. Confirm how long feed prices may be kept before enabling history.

Anker datafeed

Disabled

No Anker or Anker SOLIX datafeed credentials are configured. Confirm whether a product feed exists, which company administers it, and what it allows publishers to store.

Approvals still required

  • Anker or Anker SOLIX affiliate or datafeed approval
  • Feed URL or API credentials issued to this project
  • Permission to republish prices and to keep a history

Cache. Not implemented. Use the refresh interval in the feed terms.

Retention. Not implemented. This stub does not download a feed.

Amazon Creators API

Disabled

No Amazon Associates account and no Creators API credentials are configured. This stub does not request offers.

Approvals still required

  • Amazon Associates account in good standing
  • Creators API credentials and a partner tag issued to this project
  • Confirmation of the current qualifying-sales threshold, offer cache rule, and data-retention rule

Cache. Not implemented. Amazon has required Creators API offer data to be cached and not refreshed faster than once an hour. Re-read the current cache rule before enabling, and do not request the same offer more often than that rule allows.

Retention. Not implemented. Amazon limits how offer data may be stored and displayed. Verify the current retention rule before any Amazon price is written into the history file. This repository stores no Amazon offer payload.

  • Amazon has required 10 qualifying sales within a trailing 30 days before Creators API access. Treat that threshold as something to re-check in Amazon’s current documentation. It is not guaranteed to stay the same, and this project has no qualifying sales.
  • The static site cannot call the Creators API. A future Cloudflare Worker would have to own the cache and the retention check.

The static site itself should stay free of API secrets. A Cloudflare Worker, if one is added later, is the place for credentials. See the README. This repository does not deploy that worker. Site date for this text: 7 November 2026.
